The Guédiawaye FC suburban club has been hit by a financial crisis in recent days. Indeed, the president of the club currently playing in professional football Ligue 1, Lat Diop, has filed a complaint against a leader named Ibou Dieng, who is also the general manager of GFC.
Originally, a case of embezzlement of money from the player’s contract, Mamadou Sané, which the club sold in Cyprus for $275,000. According to information from Libération, the leader in question has embezzled part of the money and refuses any restitution.
It should be noted that the defendant had in the past been involved in a dark case of counterfeit money trafficking.
